Have Yourself a Sugarland Christmas...

Somehow a week has nearly flown by, and I look up and realize that it's now just ten days till Christmas. They say that time flies the older you get and I'll buy into what we believed to be just a childhood lie the adults told us. Someone the week, the month, the year is gone in just a blink of an eye.

A little known fact about me is that I am a tough one to catch the holiday cheer. Just never really was one for it. I don't get excited over much and what I do is totally irrational. (Bawling uncontrollably a Hank Jr concert is not irrational in my book). However, this week my sister (a.k.a editor-in-chief, even I have a boss) took my son and our nephew to see Santa Clause and look at Christmas lights. And tied up in their excitement, all three of them, it was hard to not catch a bit of that festive flu.

There is so few people in the country music world who can't think Christmas music who can't think of Jennifer Nettles. To me she is a queen of country Christmas and this year she has gifted to us one of our favorite Christmas gifts, even if it did come just a bit early. Jennifer & Kristian Bush have announced the return of Sugarland!

The duo (originally a trio) started back in 2002 and for years shook up our country music radio dials. Until a long term hiatus that started in 2012-2013 when the duo separated partially for Jennifer's maternity leave and what was widely speculated as emotional trauma following the August 13th 2011 accident.

Tragedy had struck the duo while preforming at the Indiana State Fair when the state collapsed due to damage from an impending thunderstorm. The stage was sent tumbling into the crowd, taking the lives of 7 spectators and injuring 58 others.

However, during Sugarland's time apart both Bush and Nettles worked on their own projects. Nettles put out solo work including several Christmas albums. She also spread faith and love staring as Dolly Parton's mother Avie Lee Parton in 2015 made for TV movie "The Coat of Many Colors" and in the sequel 2016's "A Christmas of Many Colors".

While all we know is that their will be a tour and new music for 2018, to me this is as good as White Christmas! Sugarland, we are stuck like glue to you.
