Two Hearts One Terra Bella

Some of the greatest duets have come from the passion between two musicians in love. Collaborations between two solo artists as they grace the stage together brings forth a certain excitement.  But in the case of Terra Bella the love and passion is there every time they grace the stage. Martina and Joe Costa are the married duo and rising musicians that hail from a ranching community in Central California now living and making music out of Nashville the two of them have that Bakersfield sound that Merle Haggard made famous all those many moons ago.

This last summer my husband and I made the five hours drive down to Music City to do a bit of dancing and drinking and just immerse ourselves in the natural high of the area where country music is being made in every doorway. We stopped by a small place called Scoreboards tucked back out of the hustle of the mainstream Nashville night life. There was a duo on the events list for the night that I had never heard of before. Martina was in this sparkly Waylon Jennings shirt concreting my belief that she is a fashion goddess, and started introducing her and Joe, cracking a few jokes and laughing with this bigger than life personality that reminds me so much of the bubbling happiness that Kelly Clarkson radiates.

Every song on their list from the covers to their own original songs was just felt so right for the night, so much spark that I never even made it across the street to where we could hear a band playing pure outlaw music, and that is the country music sub-genre that I am most loyal to.

Terra Bella, while they don’t seem like a common name most know have played with some of main stream country’s favorite artist including Montgomery Gentry and Thomas Rhett. Joe has been writers on songs for rising fan favorite Luke Combs including “Don’t Tempt Me”.

Check out some of my personal favorite Terra Bella songs that include: “You’ve Got that Somethin’”, “Hey Mama”, & “Baby It’s You”. Not to mention the song that summarizes a relationship that almost every girl has once in her life, “You Only Love Me When You’re Drunk.”

The best news is that Terra Bella is dropping an all new album with Pre Orders starting now on iTunes for There’s a Country Song which includes their new single “Wild One”!
